Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat laid the foundation stone of different development schemes worth Rs 40 crore at Survey Estate, Hathibadkala under Mussoorie assembly segment on Thursday. Congratulating Mussoorie legislator Ganesh Joshi on his birthday, Chief Minister announced the rejuvenation of Buranshkhanda water supply scheme. P[raising the blood donation camp organized on the occasion , he said that blood donation is the biggest donation one can make as one ujnit of donated blood saves the life of four people.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has been taken forward in Uttarakhand with the start of Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand scheme. Under this scheme every family in the state will get benefit of cashless medical treatment worth rs five lakhs per annum. All the residents of the state will be provided cashless cards. The air ambulance services have been started in the state. In case of emergency, serious patients could be air lifted through air ambulances from remote areas and specialist doctors could be sent to those areas. The women self help groups will be provided loans worth rs five lakh without interest. Chief Minister said that development is taking place at a faster pace and the per capita income has risen to rs 1.90 lakh. The state government has given permission to construct 155 bridges.
Chief Minister on this occasion announced construction, repair and rebuilding of security walls on Santladevi Motor road, Kalidass motor road, Anarwala-Malsi road and Dehradun-Mussoorie motor road under Sahaspur. Cabinet Minister Yashpal Arya, legislators Ganesh Joshi and Khazan Dass were present.
CM Trivendra pays rich tributes to George Fernandes
In a Shradhanjali Sabha organised at the BJP State Office, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat paid rich tributes to former Defence Minister Late George Fernandes. Remembering Late George Fernandes, Chief Minister said that he was a multifaceted personality. He adopted socialism and followed it for life. As a labour leader, he worked a lot for the interest of the labourers. Mr. Fernandes was the first Defence Minister, who visited Siachen Border and spent time with the soldiers and understood their problems.

Quality education need of the hour: CM Trivendra
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in the state-level programme “Balika Panchayat” under the Samagra Shiksha Campaign organized in Kisan Bhawan, Dehradun on Thursday. While addressing the programme, Chief Minister said that through the Balika Panchayat, children got the opportunity to live together and it is a good opportunity to understand the people around them and the society.
On this occasion, Chief Minister announced a memory competition as well as competition for writing their memoirs for all the students participating in Balika Panchayat and the winner will be awarded a prize of Rs 100 by the Chief Minister. Chief Minister also sought suggestions from the students. Chief Minister instructed the officers that the state’s top 10 students should be taken on the educational trips to Wagha Border and other such institutions, where our young generation can learn something. Selection of places for educational trips should be done very carefully so that the children can go to such a place, where they can learn something. Chief Minister said that today there is need for quality education. At the same time, every district headquarter should have a library where the literature of Uttarakhand is available. This will help those people, who want to be aware about the literature and history of Uttarakhand.
On this occasion the Chief Minister also visited and evaluated the Mobile Smart Class and Mobile Lab. He said that this type of Mobile Smart Class and Mobile Van should be expanded.
Chief Minister said that through the medium of higher and secondary education, separate super-100 students (boys/girls) are being trained to prepare for the upcoming examinations.
On this occasion, Secretary Education Dr. Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh and officers of the Education Department were also present.

CM Trivendra inspects Suryadhar Lake
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inspected the Suryadhar Lake on Thursday. While giving instructions to the Irrigation Department for the speedy construction of Suryadhar lake, Chief Minister also said that possibility of other such Lakes in the area should be explored. He asked to pay special attention to beautification of the lake and construction of road as well as to pedestrian path on its banks. He said that this Lake should be a model of special engineering, which will encourage tourism in the area.
Chief Minister said that Suryadhar Lake is a multi-purpose project, from which the area will get water for drinking and irrigation. He said that this project will provide irrigation facility to 18 villages and drinking water to 19 villages and it will be fully gravity based. Through this project, power worth Rs 7 crore will be saved. Chief Minister said that this will provide water to the farmers for whole year. With saving in electricity expenditure, we will be able to provide electricity at cheap rates to people and farmers. The Song Dam will also be constructed in the coming time and large population of Dehradun will get gravity-based water. He said that through this projects, the area will also witness social and economic development.
